Playlist Thursday – Most Appearances

29 Aug

We are creatures of habit and when we find an artist that we like, chances are they make a repeat appearance on the playlist. What artist appears the most on your playlist? We can bend the rules a bit, list one of their oldest and one of their newest ON YOUR PLAYLIST and let the “consider” be a random song or your favorite.

**Is anyone else having problems linking YouTube???**

Rules:

Something Old: Songs that are at least 5 years old. (I know that isn’t too long to be considered old, but music turnover happens quickly.)
Something Current: Songs that have been released within the past year.
Something to Consider: This is the wild card category. Feel free to list any song: old, current, guilty pleasure, underground, whatever.

Something Old:

Artist: Queen & David Bowie

Title: Under Pressure

Side Note: I worked at a friend’s bowling ally for extra cash and they had a jukebox with great tunes like this one and it has been on my iPod ever since Day 1!

Quotable: ” It’s the terror or knowing what this world is about”

Something Current:

Artist: Timbaland & Justin Timberlake

Title: Carry Out

Side Note: I used to sing this song outloud, at the top of mylungs, my running with my BCRT family. They loved it just as much as I did.  Singing is how I keep ym breath normal while running is my excuse 🙂

Quotable: “Number one, I’ll take two number threes – Thats a whole out of you and a side of me”

Something To Consider:

Artist: Big Time Rush

Title: Boyfriend

Side Note: I am balming this on my need to have a beat that I can change up and this is a pretty steady beat!

Quotable: “Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend – Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend – Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend – Your boy boy b-b-boy-b-b-boyfriend” 🙂

What’s New Wednesday #19

29 Aug

Holy Late Balls!

I am so behind this week – mainly becuase I started school and my kids are in week two and I actually have to get my butt in gear!  I think next week it will be even more of a wake up when Nick goes back to work from being on vacation! AHH!

So what is new you might ask….SCHOOL & MORE!

I am jumping back into school and today I start Intro To Psych and I am so excited! I have been looking into a couple new paths I want to take and am going to take a look at these paths until I either realize it isn’t what I want to do or it is what I want to do! i figure I will never know until I really dive in!

#1 – Yoga is starting to really come back into my mind all the time…

#2 – CrossFit is continually coming into my brain as I am a competitive person and I think being only able to do modified will help me be ready for when the time comes that I can dive right in! Form is everything and I believe that these modifications will allow this!

#3 – Military Youth – I really want to dive into helping youth in the military that are dealing with deployments and moves. I know my family really had to deal with this moving from North Carolina to Alaska.  I want to make sure that these kids have an outlet and a positive one at that. With the psych classes and even fitness I want to show them they can see positive in it all.

#4 – Personal Trainers Certification – Must Get

#5 – Yoga Certification – Think I want to get!

Wow – that is today.

Please don’t forget that there is a giveaway going on still – jsut check it out HERE

Ugh – Late Start To The Week

28 Aug

So yesterday was the first official bad day of the pregnancy. I was so sick. I really didn’t want to even move, but I hate to be the lady that calls out for a headache – even though I know it is so much mroe than that. I sucked it up and even puked in the bathroom trash can a couple times to survive. I did survive and that is key!

So now that I am up and running and have played catch up at work to get to where I need to be – let me give you my weekly chase a day late!

Last Week:

#1 Survive First Week of School – Yeah, this will be interesting I am sure! Oh, I survived but not without fights of morning wake-up times!

2 Drink More Water – I have to! Yeah – I still need to improve this!

#3 Get in cardio and yoga this week! Um, nope. I need an accountability partner for this I think!

#4 Keep Nails Painted – I am going with clear this week :) Clear they are!

#5 Story Time – I am determined to make thiswork! This was half done – but we do have homework of reading to the kids from the Bible so that will actually help me with 2 goals!

#6 Meal Prep – I got everything written down and ingredients to boot – except my dear husband got graham cracker pie crusts instead of regualr pie crusts…yeah – change of plans for that night! We are rocking and rollung with this one!

#7 Marketing Me – it is a little lower ont he list as my kids are little higher priority this week! I need to make sure they are successful Yeah I am glad I made this one not so high of a priority as I did just okay. I will make this happen though as a couple weeks go by. I need to make some changes to see what will work.

Okay – On to this week!

#1 School Starts For Me! Survive my class and normal duties at home!

#2 Drink More Water!

#3 Keep Nails Painted! I want to be able to paint my nails like Carlyn at Just Keep Sweating 🙂

#4 Reading With My Girls – This should be easier with it being a requirement for Abby’s school

#5 Meal Planning – Keep it going as Nick goes back to work next week and I won’t have him doing it all for me

#6 Marketing Me – Get back into the groove after some time off. I need to find a routine that works!

#7 Find My Groove  – I think that I just need to get to it so that I can get it done!

#8 Take Some Time – Kind of like #7, but this is so that I can really figure some things out!

PaperDirect – Oh My!

24 Aug

Birthday Cards, Business Cards, Post Cards – OH MY!

PaperDirect is your one stop shop for everything! As you know (or may not know until now!) we are expecting Baby #3! I am already thinking about showers invitations (for fun not gifts), birth announcement post cards, fun holiday cards with a belly to be shown off, and so much more!

I am already a busy mom/student/full-time employee and have limited time and schedule – so PaperDirect will be perfect for all my ideas!

Right now I am focused on the fall here in Alaska as it will be our first one here! I am the crazy lady who likes to send notes to the family around holidays as we are busy and are aways from family and friends – so a I try to send out a letter of what we are up to and make it fun all the while! I also find that some places to purchase stationary skip the fall and head straight to Christmas so let me tell you how excited I was when I saw the selection of Fall Border Papers!  I found two that made me smile and I might have to alternate which ones I print and send – which do you like best?

By all means through check out all the Fall Border Pages they have to offer – 4 pages worth to browse through! Oh My!

I also have been invited to help with my daughter’s  class outings and I really thought it would be neat if when we go to the Hay Ride this fall that we can have a Fall Banner to put up on the table where out class lunches will go and we will be sitting – trust me, 5 year olds need visuals!  I mean – really, how neat are these? They would do great for fall festivals and bazaars!

Now – Since baby is still on the brain – I had to share with you the cutest of cute baby announcements – I LIKE!

Disclosure: This sponsored post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. I was compensated for my time investment and work on this campaign. Thoughts are my own.

Review: Rob Keller MD – OGF & FANTASTIC OFFER!

23 Aug

I was a gymnast for about 9 years and then rode horses for another 7 – through all of that body bashing I was doing – I developed aches and pains at an early age. Moving to North Carolina helped some as the heat was a bit of a relief – then we came to Alaska and with cold came back the aches and pains. *sigh*

Then I was introduced to the ORIGINAL GLUTATHIONE FORMULA™ by Rob Keller MD

What sold me on trying this product was the list of benefits:

Enhances Immune System Function

Toxin Elimination

Increases Energy and Endurance

Improves Internal Organ Function

Enhances Brain Function

Promotes Healthy Skin

As I get older I look for help with multiple of these listed benefits – why not try it all with one product instead of 10?

When I got the bottle I was instructed to take 6 capsules at once, instead of 3 in the am and 3 in pm. I am not going to lie the smell of this product is not pleasant. I was able to get them down by plugging my nose and with each day it got easier. I am not very good at swallowing pills all together – so please keep that in mind! The reason behind this is so that I wouldn’t forget to take them later and so that I could get the full benefit.

Learn about the many benefits of Original Glutathione Formula™

Glutathione is a vital tri-peptide consisting of Cysteine, Glycine, and Glutamine. These amino acids are naturally manufactured in every cell of your body with high concentrations in the heart, lung, liver, spleen, brain, muscle and skin tissue. Glutathione functions as both an antioxidant and an antitoxin for your body, attracting free radicals and toxins like a very powerful magnet. Glutathione boosts the immune system and helps reduce the damage of free radicals on your cells.

Although Glutathione is naturally prevalent in every cell of your body, starting in your early 20’s your body’s natural production of glutathione starts to decline by as much as 10% – 15% every decade. Additionally, stress, exercise, infection, injury and environmental toxins can also reduce your body’s glutathione levels. To increase your body’s natural defense against pre-mature aging and cellular damage you must increase your glutathione levels.

Flu like feelings, running nose, slight itchy skin, headaches etc. This is NOT an allergic reaction, this is the heavy metal toxins being released from your body. I was told to just keep taking the capsules. The symptoms I had – were merely a runny nose and I honestly wouldn’t have cared for the relief that I began to feel after about 8 days of taking these. Sincerely. I even got a few other added benefits of sleeping better ( I usually have restless leg syndrome and whether or not this is a benefit – I noticed a difference) I also felt less aches, and pains (my main focus) – so this product was a success!

I think if I was able to continue to take it longer I might have been able to give more benefits – but as I am now pregnant I have gone off all supplements and extras. I will; however, look back into using this product once I am at a point of no more breast-feeding. And at $39.95 on auto-ship, this isn’t that bad of a price for the relief it provided!

**Plus – I was told even dogs can take it for joint relief!**

Please head on over to Rob Keller MD to see more details and benefits!

To receive your unique, single use code (they only work once!) – email affiliate@robkellermd.com with their First and Last name and 50% off in the Subject Line. When they order on autoship (you can cancel at anytime!) – they will receive their first order of Original Glutathione Formula at 50% off the regular price!  All subsequent orders will be at the regular auto-ship price of $39.95.  Offer good through 8/31/2012, for first time customers only.

For anyone who posts a comment explaining why they would love to try this product, their name will go into a drawing.  The winner will receive a product prize package to include the Original Glutathione Formula , Advance Immune Defense and G.I. Balance. Valued at $119.95!

The Weekly Chase #7 – A Little Late Today

20 Aug

I am a little late to the game today and this is why….My oldest child is now in kindegarten.

Man this day was rough…My youngest went to a new class and looked petrified so I didn’t get any pictures becuase I was trying to make her okay – she was the hardest to deal with! Abby on the other hand cried at the very last minute – but daddy made it all okay when he agreed to pick her up with a rose in hand….Well played Abby….well played.

Back to the grind…oh wait – I am on vacation the rest of the day! SCORE!

Now time for:

#2 Preparing For School – We did not do as good as I had hoped. *sigh*

#5 Story-Time – well – we had too much fun going on to sit still.

#7 Meal Plan – Success!

So it was hit of miss….what can I say? We are human!

This week:

Fitness Friday #9

17 Aug

Pregnancy….got to love it! I know for me that I will need to take it easy at first. I am usually pretty sick and I don’t want to push my luck in the beginning. I do know however that there are certain things that I will be doing for this pregnancy and during it so that my hips, that are already bad, will stay loose and I will not be out of breath walking at month 7!

Luckily my campus has on-sight *free* fitness classes that I can take advantage of and it will fit perfectly into my budget! The public is welcome – they have a minimal fee of $5 per class – which I say isn’t bad!

#1 Beach Body has a yoga DVD that is for pregnancy – I will be ordering it and I will be giving more information on it as we go!

#2 Zumba – the instructor just had her 4th baby and will be very familiar with what I should and should not be doing! that is two nights a week but I will most likely only do one.

#3  Beginner Fitness class on Wednesday is on my lunch hour (SCORE!) and I can stay in a light weight environment as this class is for people who are beginners and that way I won’t feel much competition to do more than I should!

#4 Water Aerobics – this is offered a couple of times a week and as the months go on I will be sure to take advantage of this!

#5 WALK – I will make sure I walk everywhere and not find the closest parking humanly possible.

#6 Stay hydrated – this way I don’t feel any bad side effects from the exercise!

As time goes on this may change – but my plan is to stay as active as I can!!
